No longer would “grassfed” be solely the province of those lucky enough to be near a local farm or willing to drive to an out-of-the way store. For too long, healthy buzzwords like “organic” have belonged to the select few who can find it and afford it. Beyond Organic will change that. For the first time ever, the healthiest foods and beverages will be available to anyone, regardless of where—or how—they live.Stretching across 8000 acres of pristine land in the Ozarks and continued among 140 acres of pure spring-fed mountain property in North Georgia, Beyond Organic is a new company on a mission to change your diet, change your life, and change your world.Beyond Organic is the passion project of owner Jordan Rubin, who believes that we have lost our connection to the land. Where our ancestors used to drink water from unblemished springs and eat food they could grow themselves, today we rely on chemical-laden tap water and food processed to an unrecognizable form. Jordan’s vision is to alter that dynamic by reconnecting individuals to the ultimate source of health—food and water from land preserved by nature. The best part? Beyond Organic is a direct selling company, so anyone can be involved. Whether you just want to eat and drink the best tasting, most nutritious foods on the planet, or you want to spread the message of health and wealth to others, Beyond Organic will walk alongside you in your journey to change your diet, change your life and change your world. Please feel free to contact us with any questions and we look forward to sending you some samples upon request. Please let us know how we can help you gain your health goals for this new year.

Evaluatetheplate.com blog about YHS!

Recently, Co-op member Bird Duncan with evaluatetheplate.com did a story on the co-op! She had a friend that is a new vegan. Here is my reply:

I did strict vegan for about three years and it was great in so many ways – I enjoyed it, I learned a TON and I tried so many things I had never had before. The diet was very good for me, but it wasn't something I could see maintaining longterm. (I have a husband, children and extended family and friends – ha ha. I can only do so much to help them and I don't want to make them crazy in the process) Also, because I am a Christian and I read the Bible, I "see" where God supplied so many good foods for his people and those foods include healthy meats and dairy. So I still limit both of those items – but I see them as nourishing and not as "dead food" or "killer food (as some vegans might think)" I hope that makes sense.

There is a scripture in Proverbs that says goat milk is for the nourishment of your household. . .so that is just one example. .I am not going to argue with scripture. . .and I am glad because it allows for more variety than a strict vegan diet. When God gave the Israelites a land "flowing with milk and honey" and He owns the "cattle on a thousand hills" I think there is a reason beyond just using the animal for clothing, etc. I think God provided the animals for meat and milk (fresh milk if possible, and at a minimum, organic)

What caused me to go vegan in the first place was the claim that doing so would cure almost anything that was wrong with me, physically. I have found that to be true and I see vegan (especially if we are talking about a large portion of the diet being, raw vegan) to be very cleansing. Fasting is also an incredible way to benefit the body. The Bible says fasting is a "wellspring of life." So I think there are tremendous benefits to getting off of junk food and processed foods and getting on a vibrant, life-giving diet. I think it is so sad that diet can be so divisive. Some of my relatives were never supportive. . .I had terrible digestion and pain each month with my cycle – both of these issues cleared up with the vegan/fresh diet. .. I think people would rather just do what they want and they don't want to try new things and often, they are contrary to those who are trying to make a change. I wonder if your friend is trying to change something that has been bothering her? If so, I would say support her and encourage her and I imagine she will balance out in the long run. Pray for her. . .that's the very best thing you can do.

Moms Newest Adventure!

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; (libraries are full of good books on homeschooling) You are home schooling right now - just not officially :)

We read the Bible every day as a family (well, almost every day) and that in itself is a tremendous education. We focus on character training and on obedience training. Children with good character are easier to teach than children that won't listen or go their own way.

So the Bible is our main textbook with children under 5 and we continue with it as our main guide with the older ones. Lots of reading of good books, help with chores around the house from the earliest age possible. Character training for all of us along the way. Ruth Beechick has great ideas http://homehearts.com/teaching-toolbox/beechick-basics/ For right now, just collect books (I have bought many from used book sales at libraries and home education events) and other supplies you will need in the future.

My older two are both using Switched on Schoolhouse, but I would not recommend that until your children are at least 3rd or 4th grade. We also are a part of IBLP and use the ATI program. (loads of character building info there)

We have used a variety of things. .but I would encourage you to mostly dive into life yourself and be creative - develop a business and have your children learn along side you. ..live life yourself and pull them along... my children have learned a TON by being with me at bread demos or health talks and side by side working at the co-op base site. They have learned how to get along with people and what to do in difficult circumstances. They have learned to think biblically in a variety of circumstances. Reaching out to others through ministry or just basic hospitality has helped them be less selfish. They have learned a TON by spending time with their daddy, too. At home, on vacation, with him at business meetings, ect.

It's a big responsibility to educate your children and there will be gaps - but all kids/people have gaps. To me, the big idea is to point them to the Bible as the place to start and to develop a life long desire to honor God and watch Him help them in their journey. I believe He wants us to represent Him well in all areas and with focus, we can do it. Our children see us fail and then they see us get back up again and try again and in most cases, eventually, we succeed. It's a beautiful thing!

I hope this helped you a little! ( :

God bless you as you decide what to do with your children.

If I could wish it on anyone, I would say home school your children and develop a business that allows you to have time and money. So you are able to have choices and can follow whatever God asks you to do vs. being mans slave and tied up in a job that pulls the life out of you and keeps you from time with your family. Your children and extended family and probably your friends will need you more in the future, not less. So I hope you prepare a future that allows you some freedom and some choices.

Happy Birthday Poppa!

Click Here to see a video slideshow that Gaumi made from Poppas birthday!

Interview with Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton

Recently Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton (Lifetime Family Wellness, Hurst, Texas) Interviewed our Mom. We stayed in Michigan for 3 days and had a lot of fun with our family. Afterwards started our trip south, I just now realized that we are 1,050 miles form home!

View Full Album

We stopped at a Target and a Kroger’s (to get some much needed fresh food) then Timothy, Joseph and Dad went to the National Air Force Museum for a few hours and I stayed with mom, put the food away and did some picture sorting/blogging while Elaina and Christianna napped. Later that evening we went to an RV park to spend the night.

June 11th:

We were going to go to the creation science museum but then decided that it would be better to just relax, rest, take showers and go tomorrow. I really cant wait to see the museum it should be a lot of fun! (for the people that know of the Duggars (click here to see their web site) this is the same museum that they went to) Right before dinner Dad and I took the kids to the park and they had a lot of fun and then after that Dad and Joseph went fishing in the lake.

June 12th:

I am writing this while dad is driving and mom is answering a few emails and the little ones are asleep. We had such a great time today! if any of you are going to go to Ohio, you NEED to make sure that the Creation Museum is a full day stop for your family. (Here is their web site) We learned so much and were amazed at all they had to offer. It was a great experience!

June 13th:

Good Morning! This KOA was REALLY nice! They have this big jumping pillow, a park and most nights they play an outdoor movie, last nights was Open Season. Joseph and I rode our bikes all over the campground and through the nature trails. For dinner we made a fire and had steak and some hot dogs (all beef, naturally) chips, salsa, fire-cooked potatoes and onions, and then the best part, S'MORES! yum, yum!

June 14th:

Dad decided to stay here one more day, which I am very excited about. I rode my bike all around then we had lunch. Once Timmy, Elaina, Christianna and Victoria went for their naps Dad and Joseph went fishing. Mom just started beef stew, and it smells amazing! Keep checking back for updates!

God Bless,

The 8 Browns,

Jim, Monica, Weston, Joseph, Timothy, Christianna, Elaina and Victoria :-)

Do you want to see the states that we have traveled through in our various RV travels? We were prepared for the day with a stroller, two big bags of stuff, an umbrella and other important things.

View Full Album

We walked to the bus stop, boarded, rode 6 miles in 30 minutes then went to the Metrorail boarded the Greenline Metrorail then after 4 stops transferred to the Redline Metrorail for Union station once we arrived we went through the mall to a church that met in a theater. The message was really good but was short, about an hour long. Afterwards we had a lunch of chicken wraps that was really good then headed home. Back to Union station to the redline, to the greenline, to the bus stop (which we missed so we took a cab!) then home, phew! our treck that day took 4 1/2 hours!

Monday (Memorial Day) the 25th:

Mom, I and the little ones stayed at the RV while Dad and Joseph went to the Arlington Memorial. Then later we just enjoyed and rode bikes.

Tuesday May 26th:

Today we have a lot to do on our list; the Library of Congress, the Capitol, Chet Edwards office and last (but not least) the Smithsonian National Museum of Air and Space.

Back to the bus from our RV, train, transfer to another train then arrive! They would not let us take ANY pictures in most buildings and no flash in others so there are not very many pictures of the insides of the buildings. The buildings in D.C. are huge and amazing! We took a tour of the Library of Congress and learned that they have a copy of every book ever copyrighted in America, that's a LOT of books. The Capitol Dome weighs 9 million pounds and is actually iron painted to look like marble. The Smithsonian has the Sprit of St. Louis, Skylab, and some of the first rockets. It is amazing all that goes on in D.C.! It is such a busy place!

All of our tickets and maps!

Wednesday May 27th:

We all went to the White House today! And saw the Presidential helicopter! The decorations were amazing and the rooms were so big! after the White House we went to the International Spy Museum! It was way cool! They showed all the things that a spy might use and about secret codes, special forces, history about wars and how spies aided in them and about the spies that were not loyal to the United States.

George Washington’s Plantation

Thursday May 28th:

We now will head to Mt. Vernon, George Washington's plantation. It is the huge plantation where National Treasure was filmed. Its an amazing place. We were amazed by George and Martha Washington’s service to our country and also their lifestyle of hospitality. Back in their day, people would stop by unannounced. Often the people were strangers. No matter who stopped, the Washington’s took them in and served them. Afterwards we went to the Holocaust museum. I have read the Hiding Place and other books and have learned in my school about it but actually going there and seeing it was really, really sad. God help us to never let that happen again.

Friday May 29th:

After all of the busyness just Dad Joseph and I went back into D.C. to see the monuments we saw the Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, National Archives, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Vietnam Memorial. All were fantastic! Afterwards we headed for the Shenandoah Valley Campground. I made a grave error in directions and sent us right through D.C. rush-hour traffic so that only delayed us about 2 1/2 hours……

Saturday May 30th:

We arrived! (a little sleep deprived though) and had a nice relaxing day with nothing on the list to do. Joseph and I rode bikes and then later dad and Joseph went fishing.

Sunday May 31st:

Had a bible study and watched some of the teaching form ATI. Then Dad and Joseph and I went fishing again.

View Full Album

Monday June 1st:

This morning we had a pancake breakfast and then Mom, Dad and Joseph went out by the water while I watched the kids and blogged.

Williamsburg and Jamestowne & Birthdays

As you can see in the video above, I drove the RV (and yes that was the first time EVER for me to drive any thing other than a bike) even though it was only 200 yards it was really fun!

We have been extra busy this week! We went to historic Williamsburg and also to historic Jamestowne.

In Williamsburg we participated in an interactive tour of what life would have been like back then. Dad even got to participate in a militia! He was the FIRST to sign up and was privileged to stand before George Washington! (in the far right of this picture).

^In the above picture George Washington is addressing his troops! ^

<TODAY IS WESTONS 15th BIRTHDAY>

We saw the governors palace, it was an amazing place with beautiful gardens, Kitchens, rooms, ponds and complete with a huge maze! We learned about the politics of the time and how you did not want to be the governors friend and not his enemy …

The day we went to Jamestown Mom needed a little extra rest, so Dad took the crew (except Tia) in for a great time!

We went aboard the replicas of the three English ships that first came to America and learned about the history of them. Then went into the Indian dwellings and saw animal skins and the way that food was prepared and the various things that the Indians would use for hunting and gardening (bones, rocks and clamshells). But I think the highlight of the day was the fort! We saw a real live musket shot and then talked to a man for about 30 minutes about the history of guns and ammunition. Then saw how bread was made (back then) and the living quarters of the soldiers. We learned that it took 6 years to build the fort and then after 6 months of living in it it burned to the ground in just a few hours……

It was a great day and we learned a lot!

On the way to the RV park we took the ferry (just for kicks). It was so funny because mom did not even notice that we were on it until we were on the boat moving, it was really fun!

At most KOA’s they have these awesome bike things to rent so Joseph, Dad and I took the little ones on a ride for their birthday! We had a real RV party! Christianna and Elaina were delighted to get big pool noodles, bubble toys, and some new doodle pro’s, but best of all was the chocolate cheese cake, it was really delicious! (but not as good as Mrs. Petri’s ;)

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY CHRISTIANNA AND ELAINA!

View Full Album

Now in the next couple of days we will head for Cherry Hill Park to see Washington D.C.!

Blessings,

The8browns

Jim, Monica, Weston, Joseph, Timothy, Christianna, Elaina & Victoria

Crying and Laughing… (Hurry up and slow down)

Ok, now I know that you are interested ;) this has been a very interesting week……

We were on our way to Hilton Head Island. Spent the night in Jacksonville at a rest. stop. bad. idea. It was PACKED and we filled the very last spot. Then THREE truckers pulled in and parked illegally around us ( in front, back and side, we were in the last row at the very end) and all three left their engines on. ( oh, I forgot to mention that this was all at 1:07 am) so we had to go to an actual RV park. But that's ok, a small adventure. <|:-)

Mom and Dad on a date night!

Anyway, the next morning we drove to Hilton Head Island the drive was absolutely gorgeous! The <strike>RV park </strike>Motorcoach Resort was VERY nice, huge pool, recreation center, even the laundry room was fabulous:) the only part I did not like was the 2009 Prevost that parked next to us pulling a beamer ( painted to match) and a hummer. It was the nicest Motorcoach I have EVER seen… ( that was an RV envy moment) :)

That night Dad, Joseph and I went in search of a Publix (grocery store) and a Starbucks via bike. Both were 1 mile away from where we were staying, but it took us 6 miles to get there. We were a tad confused directionally…

May Friday the 15th:

After a few days of R&R we headed for the Young family’s house in Mt. Pleasant, SC! (The Young's have a blog click here to see it ) we experienced true southern hospitality here, they were so sweet and we enjoyed every moment of our stay! THANK YOU YOUNG FAMILY FOR HAVING US! Mom and Dad enjoyed excellent conversation with the Young’s and the Ezzo’s on the back porch and enjoyed Mrs.Young’s DELiCOUS chocolate chip cookies!

May Saturday the 16th

The Young’s and the Ezzo’s (the Ezzo’s are the leaders of Growing Families International click here to see their blog) took us on a tour of Charleston in a horse drawn carriage. There is so much history there it was very interesting! For lunch we had fish and chips. It was really good! Mr. Ezzo said they weren't as good as the ones in Australia though (the Young’s and the Ezzo’s just came back from Australia one week ago). Charleston is absolutely beautiful and so relaxed… in a word, wonderful.

Mr. Ezzo took us on a boat ride. It was really fun, Thank you Mr.Ezzo!

May Sunday the 17th:

We left the Young's to head for Williamsburg, the whole drive there was heavy rain and at about 6:30 Dad decided to find an RV park and call it a night. On the way there we watched a video about NASA history (it was a documentary) and this episode was about the Challenger tragedy, just EXACTLY when the challenger exploded on the TV screen BOTH of our rear tires fell off… Dad was thankfully able to grind (literally) to a halt on the shoulder. We praise the Lord for our safety.

When the 911 personnel arrived they were amazed that NO ONE WAS HURT and that the vehicle did not topple over and crush in the back.

But just before the 911 people arrived two ladies arrived to help and make sure that we were safe and everything was all right. Mom and Dad were able to bless and pray with them.

The officers had to transport us in 3 cruisers to a hotel where we are at now, we don’t really know the damage yet but we do know that God is in control and HE orders our steps.

View Full Album

Please do pray for us!

Psalms 112 Praise the lord for all who fear God and trust in him are blessed beyond expression, YES happy is the man who delights in his command his children shall be honored every where for good men’s sons have a special inheritance.

Psalms 34:7 The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him who revere and worship Him with awe and each of them He delivers.

Psalms 91:12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. One night dad and Joseph went putt-putt golfing and won a free round so the next day Joseph, Timothy and I went, it was great! We cant wait to go back! Our Uncle Brian owns this resort and offered for us to stay there a couple of days for a change of scenery. And I stayed with the kids in the RV. Aunt Jenny gave a big pink balloon and a delicious cake. We all gave her a few more stuffed animals, what a day! But, today is the day to leave and go to Titusville to see a shuttle launch!

May 11th Monday:

This RV resort was really nice and we had great weather. About 10 miles away was the shuttle. We watched the shuttle launch from a pier that was 300 yards away from the RV. Early that morning Dad reserved a spot for us and at 1:30 all of us went down and had a picnic. At 2:01 pm we saw the shuttle take off. It was really amazing!

(Click on the pictures to view larger)

We had an awesome day and tomorrow will head for Jacksonville and then onto Hilton Head Island

The8Browns,

Jim, Monica, Weston, Joseph, Timothy, Christianna, Elaina & Victoria

Where are we going next? We have had such a great time!

April 25th:

In preparation for our upcoming trip there are many things to do, I (Weston) had to clean the inside and outside of the RV while dad did some last minute maintenance; replace the headlights (so we can see more that 15’ ahead of us:) add a little fluid here, check the levels of this and that, ect. While dad and I are outside, mom has the hardest part, PACKING, but even though this is the longest trip we have taken everything went off very smoothly and relatively stress-free. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the Duggar family stayed two RV’s away from us!! www.duggarfamily.com. (was very nice, actually)

May 3rd Sunday:

Had a great Bible study, and headed to Miramar Beach, Fl. The drive was beautiful and so was the beach. Dad was really blessed to find a really nice RV resort that was 300 yards from the water! we have been really blessed with great weather and smooth roads. Dad and I parked the RV hooked up to the necessary utilities and and then we all headed for the beach! we saw jelly fish and sea shells and the sand was so white, like sugar. Another beautiful day!

May 4th Monday:

About a mile away from our RV slot was a huge outlet mall, Mom and I went there on our bikes with the pull behind buggy with Victoria. We spent about 3 hours shopping and when we decided to come back it started POURING RAIN but thankfully there was a protective cover so Tia ( our nickname for Victoria) stayed dry. so since it was raining we just rested and watched a movie.

May 5th Tuesday:

We woke up and headed for the beach again for about 1 1/2 hours then packed up to go to a repair shop. you see our hydraulic leveling system in the front jack got some dirt in the seal making it leak hydraulic fluid in the pad so when we drove it blew onto the brake making the brake pad contaminated so there goes $$ oh well we fixed that…………

May 6th Wednesday:

Drove to Kissimmee, FL unloaded RV stuff into the condo and went swimming then bike riding had dinner and went to bed!

May 7th Thursday:

Today we had the privilege of going to the Holyland Experience click here to view their website. We had a wonderful time there we saw plays of the life of Jesus, it was a very meaningful experience, we enjoyed it thoroughly! but now only mom and I are up, I am blogging and mom is getting some work done. talk to you shortly!

We stopped for lunch and a table full of ladies started talking with us and before we knew it, they prayed for each of us (individually) and we felt so happy and blessed. When they prayed for Victoria, she became very quiet as though she knew what was happening – she’s one on May 11th!

Well phew, that was a lot of typing and if you read it all you are very kind!

More updates soon!!

Christmas 2008 – Why it’s wonderful

This is a wonderful time we share each year. We love to read as a family and to spend time with each other.

What we typically do is gather in the living room with a fire in the fire place and mom and dad take turns reading from the scriptures and the prophecies about Jesus’ birth. We have a series of Advent books we love to read at Christmastime. We shared Christmas Eve with our grand parents; Grandma and Grandpa Brown, and Gaumi and Poppa Larry Randall. Our family opened presents and these are the things we gave to each other: A kitchen set for the little ones, a red coat for mom from Gaumi and Poppa, A telescope, and the biggest most fluffy slippers you have ever seen from dad to mom (mom bought herself some slippers also because she thought that dad might have forgotten to get her something;) One more highlight of this year is that our Great Grandmother Dino got to stay with us through Christmas! she's so fun!

A week or two before the 25th we had a Happy Birthday Jesus party with all of our friends!

Happy Birthday Jesus Party—Singing carols

Time slows down and that's what we love the most!

View Full Album

By Weston Brown

Homestead Heritage Craft Fair

In November our family went to Homestead Heritage with our grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Brown. So fun! We really had a great time doing all the crafts like pretzel making, woodcrafts, jump rope making, soap, candles, and barn raising. They also have the best food! They teach about many different things like beekeeping, basic homestead skills, gardening, cheese making, gristmill, woodworking, blacksmithing skills, pottery, ect. The fair is around Thanksgiving. We have had a really, really great time and have done so much!

I will get you up to date starting August 9th through the 2nd! !
We (Dad Joseph & I) left Snow Mountain Ranch to go to a father son retreat at Crooked Creek Ranch. It was really beautiful! The event was hosted by Vision Forum (www.visionforum.com ) we heard from Douglas Phillips, Geoff Bodkin, Little Bear Wheeler and an Air Force pilot, the messages were really great! We mostly got settled in went to dinner and then a meeting that was basically it!
We learned about George Washington, character and why men must stand up for what is right.
We had a lot of great lessons and food! The last day we had a huge game of tug-o-war!

13th
Back at the YMCA camp dad and JoJo and I woke up early and went on a 7 mile hike to a water fall. The hike was really Loooooooong and fun! Then we just relaxed and napped!

14th thru the 16th
Daddy and I went on a hike to an old gold mine, had Bible study and hiked back. We unhooked the RV and drove to the amazing craft room that they have. I made a walking stick and tie-dye shirts, the little ones colored with fabric markers on little bears (and their shirts too :) Joseph made a cool boat and some jewelry for mom. Then we drove to Grand Lake, and sat in the rain for three days…. It was actually fun to do nothing! And not have any internet or cell phone service!!

17th
We unhooked (in the rain) and because of 15 inches of SNOW we had to take a 6 hour detour instead of an hour and a half drive. The drive was amazingly beautiful. There was a river that ran by the road the whole way. We finally arrived at a KOA camp in Estes Park spent the night but the next day chose to go to a different RV park so we could set a tent up and have a campfire.

18th
At the new RV Park we waited for Gaumi and Poppa to arrive. Then we went to a restaurant and enjoyed some great food and conversation :) My favorite part was the “Hermit of Cloudy Ridge” story (told by Poppa) ‘round the camp fire with s’ mores!

19th
We went to the camp that Poppa was a counselor at (Camp Cheley) it was a beautiful camp full of precious memories, We went to the outdoor Chapel that overlooks a beautiful lake and mountains. Poppa brought his saxophone and played “He Walks With Me”. That was really great. After that We went to a small store and bought some things for a picnic. We drove over Trail Ridge RD, or route 34, the highest, continuous paved highway in the world at an elevation of almost 13,000 feet! Whew! The view was amazing we were driving above the Timberline and by snow!!
That night we enjoyed dinner at a really great restaurant, then back to the RV for another campfire and story.

20th
This morning Joseph and Dad went to go fishing at Camp Cheley, It was a privately owned, stocked pond. Dad could only catch one fish because Joseph was catching them so fast, Joseph caught eight 11 inch trout! Once they came back we left to go horseback riding, (mom and the babies had the day off) Let me tell you, Colorado horseback riding is very different than Texas horseback riding. We went through creeks and tight twisty-tourney areas up, down an around! VERY FUN!
Any way that night we, for some reason, had a really hard time starting a fire to cook the fish. Just the time we gave up it started…. Hmmmm…. But needless to say we cooked the best trout and veggies we had ever had! Tonight we decided to have everything indoors. We watched a hilarious Veggie Tails and then some A LOT of pictures.

21st
This morning we woke up late, so Poppa took Joseph to an old Indian Museum then we went to Bear Lake. We took a great picture on the very same rock that Poppa’s parents took their picture on. It was a really beautiful day! We had to hustle back to return the rent car.

22nd
We had breakfast, packed up and went to downtown Estes Park to look at all the neat shops, and eat yummy taffy! We went to a restaurant to celebrate Poppas b-day; it was super special we had delicious walnut pancakes and had him read the book called “If you give a Moose a Muffin” :) It’s time to leave to go to head for Family Camp now! But before we do Joseph and I went to a little glass blowing shop. The furnaces are amazingly hot, 2022 degrees! Wow that’s HOT. The people that work there gave us little glass stars!

23rd
Mount Rushmore here we come! We drove through Wyoming and South Dakota. When we were driving we stayed at an RV park just outside SD it was so clear we could see so many stars! Wow!

24th
Then we drove through Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park. Because we aren’t on a schedule we decided to stop at a cave. It was really neat! There were formations that aren’t in almost any other caves! Now in Mount Rushmore we had an amazing dinner at the monument I loved that!

25th Now because we are at the top of America we decided to see Uncle Jeff in Wisconsin!

26th
We drove hard all day to Uncle Jeff’s and Aunt Jones! We arrive some time that evening and had really great BBQ!

27th
Uncle Jeff and a couple of his relatives bought a beautiful cabin near in the Chequamegon National Forest. They have 4 deer stands. It’s really nice!

28th
We said good bye and hit the road for Family Camp. We spent the night just a few hours away so we could be there early on Friday but we forgot the time zone change so we were LATE….. ;)

29th
Arrived!! Woohoo! Yahoo! Yippee! We set up (they actually have full hook-ups) cleaned up and left for dinner! ‘Because I am 14 I get to go to the main lodge and play late night games every night. This was my first time it was so fun!

30th
One thing we all appreciate about Family Camp is the schedule; its perfect, not to pack plenty of free time for naps or games. It is really well done! At the camp they have a blob, water slide, paddle boats, canoes, fishing, tetherball, basketball, and soccer field, zip line and volley ball!
We played Joey Ball that evening. It’s an outrageously fun game! Modified so any one can play with minimal rules and only 1 base!

31st
This year I got to help with the 5-7 year olds it was a blast we played drip, drip, DROP (like duck, duck, goose) had a skit that I got to participate in, and silly songs. Daddy and Joseph like to fish so we went to the paddle boats, I was fishing guide and because I am so good they caught 3 fish! Oh yea I even kept us in the shade! I know that Timothy Christianna Elaina and Victoria LOVED all the girls who played with them and baby-sat them, more attention in 3 days than what they would get in a week! (And you know I give them LOTS of attention!) That night we had a fun time at the talent show. The families are so creative. One family did a skit about NOT having a skit!!! So funny! We have to leave tomorrow. Oops I almost forgot, the little ones really wanted to get on a boat, so Dad and I took them on paddle boat rides! They were so thrilled!

1st
We are sadly coming to the end of our trip, oh well every good thing must come to an end :)
We just drove straight home basically!

2nd
We drove straight home arrived and unpacked our house to our house!
(Wow! (in an organized fashion, obviously!) Then departed around 4:30 pm to Poppa and Gaumi’s house to see our great grandma Dino and their friend David (an amazingly amazing pianist/songwriter) http://www.pianoshowman.com/ we had a great dinner and learned a little about songwriting. Then spent the night in their drive way.

August 2nd
After honey toast and coffee we hit the road for Amarillo. We didn't really do much that day just hang out and play games. I also started a music video slide show of our best 2007 pictures I hope to get it on the blog soon! But that’s basically it! We arrived at Amarillo!

August 3rd
We drove to Albuquerque from Amarillo. Checked in an RV Park and headed for Sandia Peak. Not too fast, either, for we had a slight problem….over heating . So we limped up the mountain and after that we had a great time at a really scrumptious Mexican food place. We enjoyed a beautiful ride on a tram-way at 700 feet above the ground! (it is the longest tram-way in the world!) Once we were at the top we had an amazing view! We left a memento there ( : Christianna lost a shoe! As we rode down on the tram I took an amazing lightning picture!
August 4th
That morning we searched for a mechanic and we were extremely blessed. He was really great! He worked on the motor coach the whole day but it still was not fixed, GRRRR. So another night in Albuquerque! Back to the RV park to play and swim. :)
August 5th
Happy Birthday daddy! We went back to the repair shop and left at 10:00 AM. phew! The only things that were wrong were: the fan clutch, bad thermostat, too little radiator fluid, and a radiator that had not been cleaned for 65,000 miles hmmmm LOL! Turned out our BIG BABY needed a BIG BURP – the radiator had an air bubble which kept the RV from staying cool. We headed for the Petrified Forest National Park. That was really amazing! That night, stayed about 5 miles away from the Grand Canyon
August 6th
Went to the Grand Canyon, WOW, it was… well in a word GRAND! Then drove and drove to Pueblo, Colorado, about 650 miles! Loooooooong day for dad! We’ll never forget dad’s marathon drive.
August 7th
Visit to the Colorado Springs co-op! We had a great time dividing produce then left at 2:00 PM. We went to a Wal-Mart, bought some necessary items and spent the night at… Well let me state this first, RV parks have their ups and downs. This particular park, to say the least “was not five stars” J
August 8th
On the road for Winter Park! The drive from Denver to Winter Park was amazing! We were so high we could see the tree line and some snow! Really gorgeous! On the way up, the RV overheated, we prayed and the engine hummed all the way up the mountain. Now at the top it should only take us 30 miles or 15 seconds for our descent! I am joking! Around 3:30 we arrived at Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA. It is a really nice place. They have a huge craft center, mountain bike rentals, zip line, putt-putt and a library. Any wayz we I hooked us up to power, sewage and water. Time for a really fun camp fire and nighty-night!
I will have more post today we are going to go to a different RV park. Once we arrive then I will add what we did the 9th through the 15th! Note: I have a 25 minute music video of 2007 photos it is really good but I have not had fast enough internet to upload it yet. It should be on the blog and YouTube soon! I will be working on an adoption video, a video of all of our RV trip pictures, the trip we took to Kentucky during July and of the Father Son Retreat (http://www.visionforum.com/) that dad, JoJo and I went to!

The Great 8 Browns,

Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

Jim Monica Weston Joseph Timothy Christianna Elaina and Victoria

Ps. This post is a little late as internet access is now a luxury!
On the last post, the 15th was a little bit off, that was actually Memphis Arkansas not the Memphis in Tennessee. And we have stayed at one more RV park. The reason why that post is off is that it was written by me on the 14th! (Me overachieving)
Any wayz we stayed at the RV Park in Memphis Arkansas which was sweet! They had a pool and this GIANT chess board with pieces bigger than la-la (Elaina’s nickname). We (jojo and I) also got to ride these awesome bike things that they had at the camp! They were low to the ground, like a chair and super fun to ride! Then at 12:30pm then we packed up camp and hit the road! (Personally can’t wait till we get somewhere and stay there for a loooooong while) then headed to Nashville where saw General Andrew Jacksons Plantation it was really beautiful! That night we played put-put golf and I won by two puts! After that we swam and played at the playground with the babies AND WE WENT TO BED. A long day!

The 17th
Our family is in Nashville! We went to a huge mall ( Opry mall) and had lots of fun there. And have now arrived at our destination Louisville Kentucky.

The 18th
A mostly uneventful day. I baby sat the kiddos while mom and dad were at the conference.

The 19th
Another mostly uneventful day. But this morning our friend Russell made this fabulous, amazing, spectacular, zingy Vietnamese style espresso iced coffee! It was sooooo good! And while mom and dad where in the conference I made delicious chocolate chip cookies for them and cleaned the RV! Then that evening we had a cook out and made with a water hose a water slide!

20th
We are now ending our trip, we are on our way to Memphis to spend the night then head home.
Fun facts:

it took me 10 miles to wash dishes

I have taken a shower at 70 MPH

We have hit the highest gas price 4.25 (this is not really a “fun” fact just a fact).

The little ones nap for 180 miles

Weston for The Great 8 Browns,
Jim Monica Weston Joseph Timothy Christianna Elaina and Victoria

Midnight Departure

Midnight, Saturday June 12th,
The bus is loaded, kids are securely buckled, 1 ½ dump-truck loads of stuff, a full tank of gas (at 3.98 a gallon) and we are off! Our first stop was a restaurant where we bought some very healthy food… then a truck stop and then we caught a few z’s ;).

The 13th
The next day we had a fun and fabulous drive then did a health demo in Ada Oklahoma. We then stayed at a nice RV park, fished, washed the dogs (yes we took them both) and I reluctantly emptied the grey and black holding tanks………

The 14th
We have enjoyed a gorgeous scenic drive to a beautiful state park in Arkansas, where we went and swam at the beach, fished, and hiked! (We wish you were here!) Then wound down over pop-corn, root beer and Over the Hedge. The only problem we have had Is that the master bedroom wont cool, but then I found the problem, the room was on heat, which also explains why the LP level was depleting…

The 15th
We are on our way to Memphis Tennessee to stay the night at a KOA camp ground then to the final destination Kentucky for our conference! (Ya know it is kind of fun to be in the outdoor woods and still have running water, AC, TV and laptops!)

The Great 8 Browns,

Jim Monica Weston joseph Timothy Christianna Elaina and Victoria
